TORONTO – 2012-2013 marks the Canadian Corporate Counsel Association’s (CCCA) 25th anniversary. Founded in early 1988, the CCCA now boasts over 10,400 diverse and engaged members across Canada, positioning it as the national voice and forum for in-house counsel in Canada.
“CCCA is at the forefront of what is a quickly growing and highly influential profession,” says CCCA Chair Grant Borbridge, of Calgary. “During this year of celebration, we will be moving ahead with a number of advocacy, diversity and leadership initiatives.”
The CCCA has many events and initiatives planned throughout the year to mark the 25th anniversary celebrations, including:
• The National Spring Conference (April 14-16, 2013), featuring:“For 25 years, CCCA’s leadership and our ability to read the pulse of the in-house bar has led us to create forward-looking programs and services that speak to these and other kinds of issues unique to our profession,” concludes Mr. Borbridge.
An integral group within the 37,000-member Canadian Bar Association, the Canadian Corporate Counsel Association is dedicated to supporting and enhancing the interests of Canadian corporate counsel. CCCA provides uniquely Canadian perspectives, resources, tools, professional development, conferences and peer-to-peer networking opportunities.
